Born of the collaboration of the Office of Film activities of the Commune of Ravenna, of the FICE and the CICAE, with the prestigious honorary chairmanship of the director Pupi Avati, after three years the MEFF became a reference point for the best of film production on the continent and elsewhere. The objective of the Foundation is to support today's Europe: a mosaic of cultures, ideas, peoples united in a common format. The Europe of culture, a space where films can circulate and communicate to overcome barriers and borders. The MEFF's mission is to promote the best European films, to disseminate new works, the masterpieces of all authors unknown to the general public, because now penalized by the logic of market distribution. In this regard, the central event of the festival revives the traditional European competitions feature not yet available in Italian cinemas: a selection of 10 feature films awarded by CICAE juries in major film festivals. This meeting will also be an opportunity to see works of parallel sections, with guests, meetings, special events and tributes to great filmmakers of the present and the past.
