Think global, act local !
The CICAE has adopted the same maxim that guides multinational companies in their quest for efficiency. It must be recognized that different market mechanisms are at play in each country, and thus our support to award-winning films is tailored to each country's situation :
- In France: the films are shown to exhibitors, their availability is announced through mailshots to all cinemas, and they are then promoted through the distribution of leaflets to moviegoers
- In Germany: the films are screened at exhibitors' fairs and recommended to cinemas through electronic mailshots, and where appropriate extra copies are made for cinemas in small towns
- In Italy: advertisements and articles are published in VIVILCINEMA, a bimonthly publication with a circulation of 80,000 which is distributed in the country's arthouse cinemas
- Other countries: arrangements for 2006 are being finalized
- Partnership with the TITRA FILM laboratory: Titra Films Paris lends its support to a certain number of Cinediversity films by funding subtitling.
