A film, that continues stylistically the tradition of great Italian movies and reveals with its photography as well as with the editing an astonishing perfection. The jury is sure, that from this only 37 year old director we could expect more great films in the future. We would be happy, to have more films of such quality in our cinemas.

The Setting of this Italian movie is the very chic estate of the Recchis, an old-established, loaded textile dynasty in Milan. During his birthday dinner the company's founder hands over the business not, as expected by all guests, only to his son, but to one of his grandsons, Edoardo as well. This young man wants to open a restaurant with a creative young chef, whom he befriended. Eduardo’s Mother (played by a wonderful Tilda Swinton) falls in love with this chef too and causes as a result tragically consequences.
